My name is Diyana. I am a Year 3 student at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, UPM. As soon as I entered the third week of Semester 6, my feelings were all mixed up including excited, nervous, and a little curious about what I was going to learn. Especially since this was my first time attending a digital class with Dr. Fareed. It really felt like a “new chapter unlocked”!
Honestly, at first it felt a bit awkward. Imagine being used to a more relaxed learning style, and suddenly having to adapt to a digital class environment that is more interactive and technology-driven. But what’s interesting is that from there, I started to realize that learning doesn’t have to be boring, it can actually be more engaging when we explore new things.
The best part was when we were introduced to the world of blogging. At first, I wondered, “Can I really do this?” But then I thought about it, blogging is like a personal diary where I can look back one day and remember that I was once a student in this field. Not only that, it helps us express ideas while also improving creativity and the way we communicate in a more interesting way.
Dr. Fareed is also very supportive and gives us the freedom to explore in our own way. That’s what made me feel more confident to try, even though I’m still a beginner. Slowly but surely, the excitement started to replace the nervousness I felt at the beginning.
In conclusion, this first week truly opened my eyes to the fact that learning can be fun and meaningful, especially when we dare to step out of our comfort zone.
Don’t forget to like and stay tuned for my next blog! ✨
